I would like to congratulate all sessional workers who undertook the Child Protection Training this year and passed. 'WELL DONE'!

Very important message - all members and non-members welcome to come and support our brief Annual General Meeting, to be held at Middlesbrough Deaf Centre on 27th September at 4.30 p.m. Please click here to download

Parents Support Group meeting will be held on 5th September at 6 p.m. at Middlesbrough Deaf Centre. This is an excellent opportunity for all parents to get together and offer their support, meet each other, share views and experiences and discuss ways forward.

We would like to wish Pauline Hardwick good luck for the future as she has sadly left CDYP.

CDYP - RISK OF CLOSURE

CHILD Deaf Youth Project is a charitable organisation operating for over ten years. The service it provides is unique within the Tees Valley area and meets the needs of Deaf and hard of hearing children and young people aged 5 –25 years.

This vital service has now hit a funding crisis, which places it at great risk of possible closure. If core funding cannot be secured soon over 60 children and young people could be left disadvantaged and excluded with no-where to go.

Congratulation to the winner, we raised £165.

The website was FANTASIC!! But I always pull horrible faces and I always say "really" and "terrible" plus others, you know what I mean? I always ask for feedback. My mum says thank you very much for letting me be involved and she really likes it. She was HAPPY! Two things I noticed, all Deaf people signing were not looking at the camera, but were looking at the people behind the camera and there are some mistakes in the signing but it’s all right. The part I loved most was being involved with other Deaf people from CDYP and making the sign film. I’m so happy! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!

Hello Youth Workers,
I have emailed CDYP’s new BSL website address to others; that’s a great website, so I felt it should be shared with other young people to make sure they see it. It’s important that Deaf Youth Workers share information. Anyone wishing to become a member of Deaf Youth Workers Forum please contact Marcella who is Membership for DYWF. Her email is: marcellas@bda.org.uk
Cheers
(Youth Worker from Tyneside)
